Wow! This place was fantastic. Definitely a special night out kind of place. The views of the cove were spectacular. The food was beyond delicious. Our server was excellent! My Mom and I had a really lovely time. It is located inside a hotel. If I have a chance to go back and the means, I would love to stay here. Absolutely stunning.

We stopped by the Whale Cove Inn to look at rooms for our next trip to the Oregon Coast. They kindly showed us a couple of rooms and we will definitely stay here our next trip to the Oregon Coast. When we saw the atmosphere of for the Restaurant Beck, we were interested in dining reservations for dinner that evening. Once we took a look at the menu and chatted with one of the chef’s (Jason), we were completely hooked. We were starving and they fortunately had a 5pm reservation. We had a phenomenal table for two with one of the most amazing views. Food (5 of 5): tartare, salad, halibut, cod, crème brûlée … it was all excellent. The pork belly was outstanding as was the salad the 2nd time we ate here. Yes, Restaurant Beck was so delicious that we made another reservation and came back a couple of days later for another dinner. Service (5): although both evenings we dined here the one server was overwhelmed with tables (including chatty patrons), the service they provided was outstanding with wonderful recommendations in terms of food and wine. With the view here, we took our time enjoying the meal and the pacing of the courses by the very busy server (and I’m sure kitchen) was excellent. Atmosphere (10): the overall setting is beautiful. An advantage of an early reservation (5pm) is that they will guarantee a window seat. We so thoroughly enjoyed our cocktails, appetizers, wine and the courses we ordered. The atmosphere and the pace and quality of service made for two wonderful dinners. We will definitely be back to stay at the inn and look forward to eating at Restaurant Beck multiple times. I wish they served an exceptional breakfast, but that does not appear to be the case.

My husband surprised me with dinner here on our anniversary celebration since we got married in Depoe Bay (we are from Seattle). We got a table with the scenic view of the water, and that was only the start of the great things amongst others! All of the offerings from the tasting menu were terrific but what really stood out was the pork belly served with coffee ice cream - it was so intriguing! I was pleasantly surprised how well this dish was executed. We might just make this our go-to restaurant each year for our anniversary. I look forward to trying other dishes.

The tasting menu was phenomenal. We opted for the 5 course. BY FAR the standout was the pork belly, it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had and paired shockingly well with the anise ice cream. The mussels in chanterelle cream and the salmon were also highlights for us. The wagyu was delicious as well and we enjoyed the chocolate dessert with the tangerines and mousse. The dried flowers and candles were a lovely touch and added a romantic ambiance.

We could not have been more pleased with the experience at Beck. As it happened we arrived in the Whale Cove Inn just before our evening meal, and chose to stay in. I don’t feel qualified to describe the different sides of our meal in any detail, but it was simply fantastic and satisfying and relaxing, and as an opening note to some time away it was perfect. The service and the atmosphere here made me simply happy. The adjective “upscale,” I suppose, applies, though really any individual item isn’t priced ridiculously. These are beautiful dishes someone’s paid attention to making. You’re just going to want to have it all, was my experience.

Wow, I wish we would have tried this place sooner! My husband and I got the 5 course meal. So worth the price! The atmosphere and setting is beautiful overlooking the ocean. Great way to celebrate our anniversary. We brought our baby with us and everyone was so kind to her! Our server was amazing. We forgot to get her name but she has a baby due soon and we hope only the best for her future! One of the best servers we’ve had at a restaurant by far.

Award winning food and service did not disappoint. I had the 7 course dinner which featured a variety of flavors and textures all perfectly balanced. The pork belly just melted in my mouth, the muscles were such a delight in the Bouillabaise, and the Wagyu Beef was perfect medium rare with an excellent sear. Did I mention the service? They were attentive, knowledgeable, and facilitated appropriate wonderful evening that included a whale sighting.

Fine dining for sure! We have been here at least 4 times and have loved it every time. We made an engagement party reservations for 4 at 5:00 for a window seat. The table was set so we could all enjoy the view and the turbulent, foamy cove did not disappoint. Cocktails were great, same with the starters and the mains. Spend some time here, you will not regret it. Very attentive service but not too attentive...just right! Their desserts are also unforgettable.

Just wanted to say, we saved up our money for this wonderful meal and chose it for our *one* *fancy* meal while away on a date out of town. It was beyond expectations. The waitress was kind and disarming, the food was comforting and also unexpected in the different flavor/texture combinations. Great portions and we were well cared for, which made it feel like our money really went far. The wine pairings we also well done. We would be blessed to visit again at some point and hope to! Thank you for a great experience. A few other tables were seated while we were there any it was fun to hear everyone's excitement over their dishes as they tried them.

Beautifully located where the woods meet the ocean, this place has a very cozy atmosphere with a nostalgic 90s / early-2000s American aesthetic. Perfect for a calm and reserved dinner. The menu is short, but intentionally so — it feels curated rather than limited, encouraging you to try a few different things and discover what truly suits your taste. I especially enjoyed the crème brûlée. The staff was welcoming and pleasant, and since there are only a few tables, the place never felt crowded or noisy. There’s also a small terrace with a lovely view of the sunset, ocean, and surrounding pines. One small disappointment was that non-guests of the Cove Inn are not allowed beyond the terrace area, though it’s understandable. Overall, a peaceful and atmospheric spot for anyone looking to slow down and enjoy the Oregon coast.
